Weakness in our hips and core as well as lack of hip mobility can contribute to low back discomfort.

In this small group workshop style series, you’ll deepen your understanding of your body and the relationship between hips, back, spine, and core.
Although we’ll focus on the lower body, this series encompasses a balanced, whole body approach. We’ll explore restorative yoga poses, gentle mindful movement, and breathing exercises to release tension, increase flexibility, improve core stability and function as well as calm the mind.
In this series,
  • We will assess and discuss common breathing and posture habits that can contribute to imbalances, weakness, and tension
  • You will learn exercises to help you break free from patterns of movement that keep you tight and stuck
  • You will learn how to properly activate, stretch, and release the core muscles as well as the surrounding muscles of the hip joints
  • You will learn how to move from your core more efficiently and with greater control, stability, and freedom
  • You will discover new patterns of movement to support and align your spine and balance your whole body
  • You will improve core connection, posture, and function in daily activities
  • Take away tips and tools to help you move with greater ease so you continue to do the activities you enjoy as you age
The small group format allows you an opportunity to ask questions and learn personalized modifications specific to your body. No yoga experience is required. This class is for all levels.
