Realign. Refine. Rebalance.
Posture and Movement Habits Matter.
All About The Neck, Upper Back, & Shoulders for Better Posture is a small group workshop style series designed to deepen your understanding of common posture habits and misalignments and the relationship between the position of the head, rib cage, and pelvis as well as the breath, core, and organ function.
The way we habitually sit, stand, and move can not only lead to imbalances that result in neck, shoulder, pelvic floor, and back related issues, it can also lead to many health issues.
Our day to day posture habits are linked to digestion, energy and stress level, the ability to focus the mind, and the quality of breathing and movement.
Good posture is more than sitting or standing up straight so we look better. Our posture influences how we feel physically, mentally, and energetically. Most importantly, it affects overall health and well-being.
In this series, we’ll explore restorative yoga poses, therapeutic exercises, and breathing practices to counteract the effects of prolonged sitting and slouching, create more freedom of movement, and refine, realign, and re-balance your mind and body.
While we will focus on the neck, upper/mid back, and shoulders, we will also address the lower back.
A small group allows you an opportunity to ask questions and learn modifications specific to your body and current condition.
This series will help you:
- build posture awareness
- assess and identify your posture and breathing habits that contribute to persistent tightness, stress, pain, and increase risk of injury
- lengthen and strengthen deep core and postural muscles and relieve tension
- learn tips and tools to create healthier habits of movement and discover your optimal posture
