Do it anyway. Do what you are afraid to do.
What are you procrastinating?
What have you been secretly desiring or dreaming about doing but you have become paralyzed by fear and self-doubt?
Are you waiting for the perfect time or conditions to get started?
Maybe you are putting off starting a new project or business, learning a new skill, or pursuing a health or fitness goal.
The secret to building confidence and courage is to simply take one small step, and focus on that step.
Each day take another small step. Then another. Then another …
Small steps are more manageable, and focusing on one step at a time feels less challenging.
If you are paralyzed by fear, it might not seem so simple but that is all you have to do. Just get started even if you ‘think’ you can’t do it. Even if you are afraid. Feel your fear then do it anyway. By taking action, you build your confidence and courage muscles.
Let go of all the excuses and reasons it won’t work. Let go of the need to know the outcome. You don’t have to have it all figured out. Trust it will unfold exactly how it is supposed to. You might make a mistake. So what. Mistakes are opportunities to learn.
What have you been secretly desiring or dreaming about doing but you are paralyzed by fear and self- doubt?
Do it anyway. Do it today – not someday. Someday isn’t an actual day. If you’re waiting for courage, until you feel ready, or for the perfect day or circumstances, chances are you’ll never do it. Waiting for the perfect time is a form of procrastination. Waiting for courage is just another form of procrastination. The most successful people take action while they are afraid. Be willing to take an imperfect action.
You gain strength, courage and confidence by every experience in which you really stop and look fear in the face. You must do the thing you think you cannot do.” ~Eleanor Roosevelt
Just. Take. One. Step. At. A. Time.
You got this!
We can give up on our desires, dreams and goals, or we can take small daily steps towards them. It’s our choice.
Wishing you courage to look fear in the face and do the thing you think you cannot do.
